I developed an allergic reaction to another skin whitening product. Do Diana Stalder whitening products contain hydroquinone?
Hydroquinone (sometimes abbreviated HQ) is one of the most popularly used skin bleaching agents. However, some users have developed allergies or irritant contact dermatitis through the use of products containing HQ.
Genuine Diana Stalder products do not contain hydroquinone. A few Diana Stalder products do contain arbutin, which is a glycosylated derivative of hydroquinone, naturally occurring in the bearberry plant, wheat and pear skins. Many experts believe arbutin is safer and less prone to side effects than traditional HQ because it is more gradually released through hydrolysis.
